Khan Pictures

Some of those Khan screenshots I promised to post.

From left to right, Peloy's sorcerer, my micko, Marc's assassin and some other sorc we met along the way and joined our party.

Another shot with a very shy knight who joined our party too.

Some more exciting shots next time.

Leftover Pizza & Coffee 4 Breakfast

There's life in Paneled Pinoy yet. And don't let anyone tell you differently.

Hopefully I can make some changes this week.
We've received some very encouraging emails and of course forces us (but mainly me)to get off me ass and do something about the site.

In the meantime, me off again to play Khan.

But before that, Dell made a hell of an interesting story in his site out of innocent pictures.

So who wants to play Khan with me? Promise I'll help you out :Þ

so little...

...time to play Khan.
...time to blog.
...time to fix Paneled Pinoy.
...so little money to do the above three.

Oh, yeah, I need a job before I start accumulating debts left and right because of these nasty habits and addiction of sorts.

moving house...(not blog!)

So...m blogging cos m gonna play.

I promised myself that everytime I go online I should write something here since I'll just spend the hours away playing that darn addicting game which, by the way has some serious grammar bugs. hehehe The game is still in beta testing so it's free except that I don't have internet access so I pay for that. Hmm..I'll try if I can post a screenshot of my character sometime soon.

If anyone else with net access at home is interested in playing it, just tell me, we got copies of the installer, of course. Runs fine with dial-up connection. Hell, the game even lags with DSL connection so there's not much difference.

That should be enough about Khan. Let's get to the title already (it feels like I'm scolding myself).

We're moving out of our current uh.. room before this month ends to somewhere closer to Sor Dellia's heart. No, not in Novaliches, still in Sampaloc. (Just read between the lines.)

Three of us (me, Marc and his sister) currently live in a room good for two persons. That situation should be enough to prompt us to move to a better place where everyone would fit, where no one sleeping gets stepped on (literally), etc. If this was the only case, we probably would have waited till next year before leaving...but it never is that simple.

Since we're the only group who has a computer in the house (we actually have two, but we only use one), everytime there's an increase in the consumption of electricity we sort of get the fall and our rent gets jacked up even if there's no change in our usage of the computer or as is the case now, even less usage. At this rate, we'd be paying P500 more than our original rent agreement before the year ends. So there. We move out.

Look at the time 0.o
Me off to play now.

renovating my pond

So by now, this is my new pond.

I know it's a very lazy way of fixing it up but it's the best I can do for now. At least it has links and all and a tagboard.

There's still Paneled Pinoy to fix. And another site I promised a friend I'll help with.
And there's an online game I love playing. It's linked somewhere in this page. It's way better than Ragnarok (sorry, peloy hehehe). But it does consume a lot of money...must get a job soon to support gaming habit. haha.

I'm off to play it now.

That's about it.

Wednesday, March 17, 2004

There's a reason why I haven't been updating my blog even if I have constant net access till the end of this month.

I should take advantage of such things more considering the situation.

Anyway, if I finally stop procrastinating and gaming every night when I get home, I'll finish the other blog that I'm working on, which Marc and I will share just for the heck of it. (I'm forcing him to write, obvious ba?)

When it's done, kindly link from there and not here in Paneled Dementia anymore. I'll make this blog strictly for comics-related posts.
I might as well start doing this. After almost three years of doing research on comics and anything related to it, there's just too much information lying around somewhere in my head and around me. And that does not include all the research materials Dell has sequestered for the unspecified time period he's making his thesis.

So there.

NOw this one is from Gabby's.
Hardly believable, but well, I'll watch out for detectives and prison guards anyway.

You're Les Miserables!

by Victor Hugo

One of the best known people in your community, you have become
something of a phenomenon. People have sung about you, danced in your honor, created all
manner of art in your name. And yet your story is one of failure and despair, with a few
brief exceptions. A hopeless romantic, you'll never stop hoping that more good will come
from your failings than is ever possible. Beware detectives and prison guards bearing
vendettas.

You are Granny Weatherwax. You enjoy flying around

telling people they feel much better, and
intimidating everyone you know. Frankly,
however, you wish they'd all just stop whining
so damn much.

The Bad Touch - Bloodhound Gang

The Bad Touch - Bloodhound Gang

Ha-Ha! Well now we call this the act of mating
But there are several other very important differences
Between human beings and animals that you should know about

I'd appreciate your input

Sweat baby sweat baby sex is a Texas drought
Me and you do the kind of stuff that only Prince would sing about
So put your hands down my pants and I'll bet you'll feel nuts
Yes I'm Siskel yes I'm Ebert and you're getting two thumbs up
You've had enough of two-hand touch you want it rough you're out of bounds
I want you smothered want you covered like my Waffle House hashbrowns
Come quicker than FedEx never reach an apex like Coca-Cola stock you are inclined
To make me rise an hour early just like Daylight Savings Time

Do it now
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Do it again now
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Gettin' horny now

Love the kind you clean up with a mop and bucket
Like the lost catacombs of Egypt only God knows where we stuck it
Hieroglyphics? Let me be Pacific I wanna be down in your South Seas
But I got this notion that the motion of your ocean means "Small Craft Advisory"
So if I capsize on your thighs high tide B-5 you sunk my battleship
Please turn me on I'm Mister Coffee with an automatic drip
So show me yours I'll show you mine "Tool Time" you'll Lovett just like Lyle
And then we'll do it doggy style so we can both watch "X-Files"

Do it now
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Do it again now
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Gettin' horny now

For the uninitiated, this a song.
It's not something I actually wrote!

Peloy, you don't need to write down the lyrics anymore cos I just looked for it online.

The French dude is not a kid. He is an official of sorts though I hate to say more or even his name for fear of repercussions. ehehehehe
The first day he wore what Peloy described in my tagboard. I guess it was a lil bit better during the second day as the frilly shirt was black, he lost the tie and the pinstripes on the pants.
If any of you guys dropped by the EduFrance exhibit, you would know exactly what I/we mean.
(I really hope this entry won't appear in google when people search for info on edufrance 0_0).
Anyway, I didn't exactly get to interact with him as I was busy playing secretary at the other events. All I know for sure is, he didn't exactly endear himself to the other office staff. He's not that friendly at all. Only got to talk(?) to him when I was told to ask if he wanted tea or coffee. (He got the tea cos that's what was in the tray I was carrying and I didn't ask veeery nicely at all.)

And that's all I'm gonna say about it.
Ze boss is back, so I'm going back to ze work.

Tuesday, February 24, 2004

Today made me wish that I know French or could at least understand it, not really speak it.
There was a roundtable discussion at CIS today with cultural attaches and UP Professors. At the start, all guests/speakers knew French so the discussion switched languages from English to French and back again and sometimes even Italian (because the Italian cultural attache was there).
There discussion was quite lively and there were jokes that I wish I could have gotten, but oh well...
Today's lunch was Katsudon. Tomorrow is by Choco Kiss. Yaaay! The side benefits of working yourself (not to death!) till your braindead.
And I shouldn't forget the free net access when the bosses decide to go home early and all the jobs for the day are done. Which means I get the oppurtunity to update and I have net presence again.
But then blogging at the office is not really good cos I get distracted easily and what I write tends to get...uhm...what's the darn word...basta there's no coherence to what I write.
So there.

who is your closest personality match

who is your closest personality match

Gandalf The Grey, Grey Pilgrim, Grey Wanderer, Gandalf Stormcrow, Gandalf Greyhame, Gandalf The White, Incánus, Lathspell, Mithrandir, Tharkûn, the Elf of the Wand, Servant of the Secret Fire, Weilder of the Flame of Arnor and Disturber of the Peace.

you were the last of the istari to arrive in middle earth, and supposedly the wisest. however, this could be held in contention. you really are rather slow on the uptake. how long did it take you to realise that bilbo's ring was in fact the one ring? 60 years? 70 years? and for that matter, why did you have to go all the way to gondor to research about it, couldn't you just have asked your buddy elrond, since he was there and apparently remembers all about it.

you are also a tad slow at noticing that saruman is not quite the same wizard that you thought he was. come now, take a good look at orthanc, does that or does that not, have 'bad guy stronghold' written all over it? and how many doors need to be closed in your face before you start to suspect that there may be something strange going on? however, once you've been imprisoned on the top of the tower for a while, it does finally dawn on you that saruman is in fact in league with sauron, and you have enough wit to piss off when he's not looking.

your favourite pastime seems to be stalking hobbits, an activity that you share with your best buddy aragorn. both of you appear to invest large amounts of your time wandering around on the outskirts of the shire. apparently neither you, nor aragorn, have anything better to do, since unlike some of your order, you are not plotting to take over middle earth, and he just doesn't have a life.

you are a complete control freak, and you get highly pissed off when people don't do what you say, therefore it's not surprising when you decide to appoint yourself as leader of the fellowship. however, you are not exactly the most reliable leader, considering your compulsion to suddenly dash off on other secret errands, or even better, falling to your apparent death and leaving the company in the hands of people even less reliable than you.

luckily for you though, you are not quite as dead as people thought you were, and eventually, after a quick bath and washing your clothes, you return to the world as gandalf the white. unfortunately your beard shrank in the wash, but one assumes that it will, in time, grow back.

in your second coming you also appear to have picked up the elvish skill of glowing for no apparent reason, much to the dismay and utter jealousy of legolas, who seems to be the only elf in middle earth without this ability. perhaps you should consider a change of profession, and with your trendy new white clothes, become the pin-up boy for napi-san.

Surfing in a Ragnarok-infested place.

Currently looking for pictures of Madrid slums while checking my email at the same time. It's a wee bit job-related, but I don't mind. What I can't believe is how hard it is to find one. I got one pic after one hour. Maybe people really don't want to show off the not-so-nice face of their country/city. If I look for Manila slums will I have the same problem? I wonder, but I don't have enough money to indulge in that experiment right now.

I guess most of everyone knows that I'm currently working at CIS now (that's Center for International Studies, if you don't know). Work's ok, body clock just adjusting to waking up early, staying up and awake all day. You can actually have sane and logical conversations with me during lunchtime, if I'm not too lazy to walk all the way to the tambayan. Airconditioned rooms kinda spoil you. I used to be stuck in our sauna-like room in Sampaloc, stuck in front of the computer doing "stuff." Now, I'm so tired of staring at computer screens I don't even feel like playing any games when I get home.

The highlight of the week or the most windang part anyway, was calling the Russian embassy to ask for the name of the Cultural Attache and getting connected directly to the Attache himself by mistake. He barely understood what I was saying but at least I got his name and the correct spelling. The good thing about it was that he didn't get angry and actually was laughing at the end of the conversation.

The runner-up for this week would be calling the Italian embassy. They're automated so I didn't get to talk to anyone, but the voice they used for the English interface was the voice of a Chinese guy. It might not be a really good idea, but Bengki wanted to check it out for herself so I gave her the number.... hehe. They're closed on weekends,of course.

Come to think of it, Dell persistently giving me macapuno candies last Tuesday was pretty freaky. And so, to complement Macapuno Man....

fuck
your fuck.

I decided that I would write in my blog today. So here.
Not that I have anything to write really. I'm transferring files from this PC to diskettes and that takes time and so ....what the hell am I saying?

Still doing nothing. Spent Christmas in Cavite, New Year celebs in Baguio at the convent, my aunt's a nun for those of you who are uninformed.

oh boy...I spent way too much time online. gotta go now.
